Cheater's Oreo Fudge

Is it fudge? Are they brownies? It's like cookies and cream... something or other. This recipe was created by my mother when my dad was first diagnosed with celiac disease and had to give up gluten. (This diagnosis was later reversed and he is back to enjoying regular cookies and pizza.) I threw out the gluten free aspect of this and kept the rest.

You'll need:
  • 1 package (14 oz) Oreo cookies
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 c white chocolate chips

First you need to beat the crap out of the Oreos. I put them in a gallon size freezer bag and hit them with a rolling pin until they were split into tiny chunks, but you could also use a meat mallet (as if you have one of those) or even a can like a soup can. You could also throw them in a food processor, but you want them to have some form still, so don't make a powder out of them for this.

In a bowl, mix the pulverized Oreos with the milk and chips, and stir to combine. Grease and lay parchment paper on a 9x9 inch dish and pour the mix in. Bake at 325 about 20 minutes.

When you take it out of the oven, use a spoon to lightly press the Oreo pieces back into the fudge mix, since they tend to rise during cooking. Let cool completely and cut into squares.
